Gordon wins B-of-A 500 at Concordby MT Bureau - October 14, 2007 - 0 comments
Concord, N.C. -- Jeff Gordon crossed the finished line 0.579 seconds ahead of Clint Bowyer Saturday to win the Bank of America 500 at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C. The victory -- in the fifth race in the 10-race "Chase for the Nextel Cup" -- was Gordon’s second consecutive win, his sixth of the season and the 81st of his Nextel Cup career. Kyle Busch, Jeff Burton and Carl Edwards completed the top-five. Gordon leads Jimmie Johnson -- who finished 14th Saturday night -- by 68 points. Gordon has a 78-point lead over Bowyer.
