Former Tonic front man, wife, have baby

Nashville -- Former Tonic front man Emerson Hart announced the birth of daughter Lucienne Elizabeth with his wife Nicole in Nashville.

Lucienne, born Oct. 4, weighed 7 lbs. 11 oz., and is in great health, representatives for Hart told People magazine.

Hart told People he was viewing the new family addition as an opportunity to overcome the past. Hart’s father allegedly was an abusive schizophrenic.

This is the couple's first child, though they have expressed interest in future adoptions.

Hart, currently on tour with Collective Soul, canceled early October dates in Los Angeles to celebrate the birth, but was back on the road as of Oct. 12.
