Springfield, Ohio -- A Wal-Mart in Ohio isn't only known for rolled-back prices, it's also known as a place to ask a girl on a date and get married.
Chester Eldridge and Danna Hornbeck met during the Springfield, Ohio, Wal-Mart's orientation in March and wed in the store's lawn and garden department, the Dayton (Ohio) Daily News reported.
"We've come around all the way now," Elridge said after his Wal-Mart wedding last week.
"We met here, he asked me out here," the new bride said. "Why not?"
Elridge, 51, is a supervisor in the store's Tire & Lube Express. His wife, 45, is a supervisor in the arts and crafts department.
Customer service supervisor Kendra Kitzmiller said she thinks its the first time anyone said their "I do's" in that particular store.
"We're very proud to be a family-oriented store," said Kitzmiller, one of the wedding organizers.
An "Attention, Wal-Mart shoppers," announcement interrupted the ceremony. But after the minister proclaimed the pair man and wife, cheers could be heard in the customer service department -- on the opposite side of the store from where the wedding took place.
