Whitaker plans to direct new FX seriesby MT Bureau - October 9, 2007 - 0 comments
Los Angeles -- U.S. actor and filmmaker Forest Whitaker is set to direct and executive produce a new drama series for FX, the Hollywood Reporter said Monday. Whitaker, who won an Oscar this year for his performance in "The Last King of Scotland," has previously had a recurring role on the FX cop drama "The Shield." He has also directed films such as "Waiting to Exhale," "Hope Floats" and "First Daughter." The untitled new project, which is in development, is being described as "The Sopranos" set in the world of arms dealers, the trade paper said. © Copyright United Press International.
