Los Angeles -- Actor Kiefer Sutherland has been formally charged with two counts of misdemeanor drunken driving in Los Angeles, People.com said Friday.
Sutherland was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence in Los Angeles early Tuesday morning.
Best-known for playing Jack Bauer on the Fox drama series, "24," Sutherland was stopped after making an illegal U-turn and arrested on suspicion of DUI after a Breathalyzer test showed his blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit of 0.08 percent, police said.
Sutherland was released on $25,000 bail.
However, in light of his most recent arrest, prosecutors are seeking to revoke his probation in a November 2004 DUI conviction.
The actor faces up to one year in county jail and a $1,000 fine if convicted, plus an additional six months if a judge deems he violated probation. This was Sutherland's fourth DUI-related arrest since 1989.
His arraignment is scheduled for Oct. 16.
A spokesman for the actor wasn't immediately available for comment, People.com said.
