Acter Ioan Gruffudd married in Mexico

Los Angeles -- British movie stars Ioan Gruffudd and Alice Evans have married in Los Cabos, Mexico.

Gruffudd, 33, and Evans, 36, both wore Giorgio Armani for the occasion, which took place at the Palmilla Hotel, People magazine reported exclusively.

"It was an intimate gathering," said a source close to the groom. "Friends
and family traveled all over the world for it."

The couple kept their relationship and engagement a secret for the most part, until the MTV Movie Awards in June, when Gruffudd discussed his upcoming nuptials.

"I am heavily involved. Both Alice and I are doing it ourselves," he told People. "We did the invitations, which was enough of a burden, and now, of course, everybody's saying they want to come -- so we're over by about 20 people, but we'll work it out."

The wedding "is not back home in Wales," said Gruffudd. "We thought we'd celebrate our new life here. We moved here about five years ago. We've embraced it and are loving living here."
