London -- A spokesman for Amy Winehouse said the British "Rehab" singer is "resting under doctor's orders" and suffering from "severe exhaustion."
The BBC said Winehouse's representative refused to comment on reports the 23-year-old was hospitalized last week due to drug abuse and could wind up in rehab of her own.
Winehouse has pulled out of several gigs in recent weeks -- including two Rolling Stones concerts -- but has not formally announced whether she will sing in Britain's V Festivals as scheduled next weekend, the BBC said.
"We have not been informed by either Amy's record company or her management that she won't be appearing at this year's festival," a spokesman said. "Unless otherwise informed, organizers are expecting her to appear as planned."
