Hollywood -- The "Sex and the City" Hollywood film project just got big, Mr. Big that is, as Chris Noth reportedly agreed to reprise his TV character for the big screen.
Noth's character will join as the love interest of columnist Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker in the tart HBO series, already on board to co-star in the highly anticipated film project, the Los Angeles Times reported Friday. Also returning are Kim Cattrall as lusty Samantha Jones, Kristin Davis as conventional optimist Charlotte York and Cynthia Nixon as career-focused Miranda Hobbes.
The TV show's executive producer, Michael Patrick King, will write and direct. The movie is scheduled to start shooting in September in New York.
Fans of the show have wanted a a film version of "Sex and the City," based on semi-autobiographical columns written by Candace Bushnell, since the HBO series ended in 2004 after six seasons.
