San Antonio -- A San Antonio TV news team is testing a laser-powered comb that its manufacturers say can regrow hair on the scalps of users.
The LaserComb, created by HairMax, is being tested by KENS-TV, San Antonio, producer Evan Henson, the station said.
"I don't want to be going bald at 24," he said. "Guys that are balding, or have a problem with hair loss ... it's probably a very big deal."
"The laser and the simulation of the comb with these hard little bristles here will actually stimulate the scalp," Bebe Garcia, a hair instructor at the Milan Institute of Cosmetology in San Antonio, said in explaining how the comb works.
Evans and other users said treatments with the tool involve heat and vibrations. It remains to be seen whether the treatments will have any effect on Evans' hair loss.
