Break-up leads to anti-Sydney online group

Melbourne -- When a 23-year-old Melbourne woman broke up with her boyfriend, she shared her joy with the world by creating an online group to insult his hometown, Sydney.

Adriana Saw was so upset with her boyfriend after their relationship ended that she created a "Melbourne is better than Sydney" page on Facebook.com, The Melbourne Herald Sun said Wednesday.

To her surprise, the page led to a group of more than 6,000 people who all apparently shared a similar dislike of Sydney. Saw said that what began as a joke has become a veritable Internet sensation.

"It was horrible and now I just categorize all Sydney people as having his bad traits like being rude and angry all the time," she said. "It just took off out of nowhere and now I get about 200 people a day joining up."
