Madonna buys another mansion

London -- American pop icon Madonna has snatched up another tony London address

The Daily Mail reported Monday Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie plunked down $12 million for a sixth home in London, a 10-bedroom Georgian townhouse in Marylebone. The property is right next door to where they live with their children, the newspaper said.

Madonna, 48, and Ritchie, a 38-year-old British director, bought their new home from designer-developer Paul Davies.

"Madonna has been a very shrewd investor in property ...," a source told the Mail. "She knows the prices are significantly lower than in Mayfair but that the area is coming up. She has said she'd like to buy the whole street."
