'S HERTOGENBOSCH, Netherlands -- Jelena Jankovic and Anna Chakvetadze, both hoping for a major breakthrough at Wimbledon, Friday set up a championship meeting at the Ordina Open.
Jankovic, seeded first, survived a grueling match against Dinara Safina, 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (8-6). The third-seeded Chakvetadze was a 6-3, 6-4, winner over Daniela Hantuchova.
Both Ordina finalists are poised to take their next step when Wimbledon begins Monday.
In her last three major tournament appearances, Jankovic was a semifinalist at the U.S. Open, advanced to the fourth round of the Australian Open and reached the semifinals of the French Open.
Chakvetadze was a French Open quarterfinalist this year.
