'Nightmare' Craven sues comic Shore

Los Angeles -- "Nightmare on Elm Street" director Wes Craven sued neighbor Pauly Shore, alleging water from the comedian's home led to erosion on his Los Angeles property.

In the suit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Craven alleged Shore was negligent and created a nuisance, KNBC-TV in Burbank, Calif., reported Wednesday.

Craven said the landslide occurred in December after Shore upgraded his property with a pool, spa, landscaping and other improvements, the lawsuit said.

The 67-year-old director said he suffered emotional distress because of the damage to his property, which sits at a lower level than Shore's property, the lawsuit claimed.

Shore, 39, disputes the allegations.
