Indianapolis -- A young male peregrine falcon that was missing for a week has been spotted in downtown Indianapolis.
Because it had been missing for a number of days, the bird had been presumed dead, The Indianapolis Star reported Sunday.
Fans of the birds were relieved to hear that the bird, named Poston, was alive and well. Poston was born to a mating pair of falcons downtown that bird enthusiasts had been tracking.
"I think Poston was on a building roof somewhere," Laura James-Reim, who writes the "Falcon Blog" at IndyStar.com, said. "Whatever happened to him, I don't know. We're just glad he's back."
