Micromax and the telecom service provider MTS have partnered together to launch Canvas Blaze, a Smartphone on a budget in India. This handset arrives with free mobile data of 2 GB, Snapdragon processor, free talk time of 1000 minutes on MTS to MTS, free local calls of 120 minutes and STD calls using other networks for an initial period of 6 months. This latest smartphone model exhibits dual SIM function and is priced at 10,999.
The brand new Canvas Blaze operates on dual core 1 GHz processor and sports a 5 inch display screen. This smartphone is supported by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, has 768 RAM, 1,850mAh battery, and supports MicroSD card up to 32 GB. It also has a VGA camera on the front with 8 mega pixel resolution and the rear camera. The phone has several connectivity options such as 2G, 3G, WI-Fi connectivity, MicroUSB and Bluetooth 2.0.
Vikas Jain, co-founder of Micromax said that the latest dual SIM smartphone with 3G EVDO + GSM facility, was based on Qualcomm Snap Dragon processor. He also added that it would help their GSM consumers to take full advantage of their massive network – 3G EVDO while holding on to their existing GSM number. Vikas Jain said that the Canvas Blaze also adds up to their promise to bestow their consumers with high-end technology and superior services.
Leonid Musatov, the Chief Officer, Sales & Marketing of MTS, India revealed that he is happy to announce the launch of Canvas Blaze by joining hands with Micromax, which is one of the exciting Smartphone brands in India. He also said that this smartphone, Canvas Blaze is exclusively designed and developed to fulfil the smartphone needs of the younger generation. With free data and voice benefits, the Canvas Blaze would offer a complete package for the customers, he said.
The Canvas Blaze has one SIM slot that can work with the CDMA network of MTS which is equivalent to the 3G while the other would have the GSM SIM that can be compatible with a variety of telecom providers like Airtel, Idea Cellular, Vodafone etc.
