Grand Theft Auto V is set to be the most anticipated game of 2013 releasing on Xbox 360 and PS3 on 17th September.
The total cost of the game stands tall at $ 265 Million Dollars, which is more than the budgets of many big Hollywood movies. It has been reported that the Rockstar has already made back the money on pre-orders of the game alone.
The game GTA V the 15th overall entry to the GTA series is set to have the largest map than any other GTA or Rockstar game; the size being bigger than GTA San Andreas, Red Dead Redemption and GTA 4 combined culminating into a total of 49 square miles and with a montage of activities that can be done in the vast map.
The Third Person Shooter set in an open world recreation of South California, the world is composed of the fictional state of San Andreas, an open countryside area and the fictional city of Los Santos, which is based on Los Angeles.
The big change that we are going to see in this edition of GTA is that the player will be able to control three protagonists. Yes! the game has three protagonists namely Michael, Trevor and Franklin which can be switched in-mission or during free-roam.
This was said to be a very big and risky step taken by Rockstar due to the technical difficulties that were to occur in implementing this idea. But as reported by IGN in its First Hands-on demo the character switching has been implemented beautifully in the game with rather amusing results.
After the release of GTA San Andreas in 2005 there were high expectations from GTA IV that it would include more activities and customization options than its predecessor but failed to live up to the expectations of gamers. Well, it seems that this is set to change as a wide range of activities such as yoga, triathlons, jet skiing, base-jumping, tennis, a full-fledged golf, and scuba diving to investing in stocks, buying and selling property, customizing vehicles and weapons are to name some of the activities.
Even though there is a big hype for GTA V releasing on Xbox 360 and PS3 but there has been no news from Rockstar on the game releasing on PC. According to Rockstar Games co-founder Dan Houser, a PC version of the open-world game is "up for consideration," though that's all the company has said on the matter.
A petition on bringing GTA V on the PC has gathered 337,696 supporters ever since it was put up on Change.org. This still doesn't change or diminish the hype for GTA V as the total number of pre-orders in US only amounts upto 783107 copies.
