Bike Scoop: Harley Davidson: Tsunami Motorcycle Exhibit, Recalls and cool new accessory

Harley Davidson is one hell of a bike with unmatched style, muscularity and comfy ride. The passion for this bike across the US and rest of the world is nothing short of an urban legend. Read on for some of the biggest stories closely associated with the iconic bike.

Bike Recall
Harley Davidson is recalling close to 2800 bikes for a faulty license plate bracket that could come off, damaging the rear brake line. Bikes made in the year 2012 are getting recalled along with 2013 VRSCDX (V-Rod Night Rod Specials).

It needs to be noted that the bikes manufactured between June 14, 2011 and Aug. 1, 2012 are getting recalled. The company says that mounting screws of the assembly have a tendency to come off and that could ultimately result in widespread damage. The recall is likely to be announced in November when the company will contact affected bike owners and services will be done for free.

Tsunami motorcycle
Ikuo Yokoyama’s Harley-Davidson motorcycle would seem to be just another classic Harley. But what makes it special is that it drifted for almost a year in the Pacific Ocean and was discovered off the British Columbia coast.

Much of Japan was devastated after the tsunami in 2011 and the said bike drifted across the ocean along with other stuff. It has been put up for display in the museum on the request of the owner as a memorial for those who perished and got affected in the life-wrecking tsunami last year.
