After a speedy initial delivery in 31 countries, iPhone 5 distribution to the markets have come to a sudden halt.
Till last month, while every other gadget freak on the net or around you was found boasting about his purchase of the iPhone 5, now no one is talking about the much anticipated device.
In between, didn't you observe the hypes settling down all at a sudden? You guessed it right! Apple lovers are driving up the wall due to delays in iPhone 5 supplies.
Reasons undisclosed and no official statement discharged so far, the company's silence on as to why the stupendously successful phone deliveries in may countries are on halt have revived the stringent opinions for the brand.
Know the details
Announced on September 12 2012, the phone enjoyed a massive launch in USA, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and the UK all received it on September 21.
Within a week on September 28, the phone hit the shelves on stores in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
While that initial run was fast, the distribution to other markets have suddenly stopped. 31 countries in one month seems an impressive report, not really when compared to iPhone 4S that launched in 43 countries and moreover, every new device in the series had witnessed a bigger launch than its predecessor.
In the heat of moment
It all shall pose serious threat to the brand's stature, firstly because of the infamous faulty maps app in the device that forced the CEO to shoot an apology, and now for failing to deliver the sets after going the extra mile of aiming a grand launch for the set.
Cynics have started taking a dig at the company's lame proposals of 'fastest roll out for any Apple device so far'. The company going against the clock committed the sales in 100 countries by the year end. With less than three months left, a lot more is to be done.
For those who have their iPhones in their hands, still in deep love with the brand and don't believe the blames; check out the Apple store and apply for a purchase and you'll find 3-4 weeks time lag in delivery.
