October 9: The biggest day for gamers in 2012

An action filled day for gamers as three widely anticipated games released on a single day!

Gaming enthusiasts have never had their hands so full!! With as many as three power-packed games appearing on the radar in a single day, October 9 is rightly being touted as the biggest gaming date of the year!!

Given bigwigs like Halo 4 and Black Ops II are yet to hit the markets, the sales of video games are only going to get higher in coming months.

The tracks that were released include Dishonored, XCOM: Enemy Unknown and The Walking Dead: Episode 4 - Around Every Corner. Each one of them was widely anticipated for some time now and had already created a buzz in the markets.

Dishonored
Arcane Studios and Bethesda had come together for this slam-bang action game that has got a stupendous rating of 89 from Metacritic, a reputed name in the gaming industry! You can be a stealthy assassin, a pacifist or a bloodthirsty killer and go on rampaging.

This game, which seems to be a cross between Half Life and Bioshock, is being hailed as one of the most addictive one out there. Gamespot describes it, "It's a rare game that feels so compulsively replayable, but Dishonored is such a game. The compelling abilities, the bold artistic design, the colorful characters, and above all, the freedom of choice--these are the things that mark Dishonored as one of the truly remarkable games of this year."

XCOM: Enemy Unknown
This strategy game equalizes Dishonored and it too earns a massive 89 rating by Metacritic. It is another highly anticipated game this year.

"It's possible, through bad planning and bad management, to doom the planet early on, making the game feel unfair. Get it right, however - survive the stresses of management, and the strains of aliens - and you'll feel like the world's greatest hero," say the experts at Edge.

The Walking Dead: Episode 4 - Around Every Corner
Zombies are a hit when it comes to gaming as well as movies. One cannot get enough of the undead who just keep coming back, in games and otherwise, no matter how hard you hit them.

Though it has not been rated by experts at Metacritic, it is sure to garner a good rating and impressive sales as well. We keep our fingers crossed!

Whew, what a day that was! And on top of that, it is going to get only better in the coming days!
