Angry Birds set for a revamped Star Wars avatar

Angry Birds, an immensely popular game, is set for a completely new look and feel!
The characters, settings and themes of Star Wars saga will get blended with the Angry Birds.

The Angry Birds franchise is going to get a major makeover as its Star Wars avatar will be here soon.

After the success of Bad Piggies, the maker Ravio is going to launch Angry Birds Star Wars edition in November this year.

The game will have themes and scenarios from this another immensely popular franchise.

Gamers will have their hands full this season with a plethora of games, gaming consoles, smartphones, tablets and other gadgets already released or slated to hit markets soon!

Ravio, the Finnish gaming studio behind this stupendously popular game among avid gamers all over the globe, has partnered with Lucas Films Ltd for a new look Angry Birds that is set for November 8 release.

It has been learnt that Angry Birds – Star Wars edition will be available for all major platforms like Android, iOS, Windows 8, Amazon Kindle Fire, Windows Phone, Mac and PC. The release comes close on the heels of Bad Piggies, another version which became insanely popular everywhere.

Marriage with Star Wars look and feel
The characters, settings and themes of Star Wars saga will get blended with the Angry Birds. The Angry Birds will fight it out along the depths of Death Star and the mystery deserts of Tatooine among others this time.

Rovio CMO Peter Vesterbacka said, "This is the best Angry Birds game we've ever done. It's the best part of Angry Birds with all new cutting-edge gameplay set in in a galaxy far, far away. As a big 'Star Wars' fan myself, I'm really excited about this new universe. The Force is definitely strong with this one."

The proposed marriage between Angry Birds and Star Wars has already generated tremendous buzz everywhere. Its Twitter handle #AngryBirdsStarWars is trending all over, signaling immense popularity among the Twitterati.

"People seem to instinctively know what to do when handed a lightsaber or a bird in a slingshot, so this is a natural combination," says Colum Slevin, Vice President, Head of Studio Operations for Lucasfilm Ltd.
