Ubisoft, the developing agency behind it, has revealed that this historical action-adventure game will be much bigger than any previous version of the series.
The game covers 30 years of the protagonist Connor Kenway, half-English and half-Native American, before, during and after the American Revolution.
After Connor Kenway's home is attacked by tyrants he becomes a revolutionary and picks up arms to fight the colonial British forces. He comes across many historical figures like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben, Paul Revere, Israel Putnam, John Pitcairn, General Lafayette, King George III, William Prescott, Samuel Adams and Charles Lee - all heroes of the American Revolution.
The cities explored in the game are New York and Boston along with American Colonial Frontier, settlements in and around Charlestown, Concord and Lexington, rivers, cliffs and forests.
New elements like hunting and dual weaponry will be witnessed for the first time ever in the game. Conor will also captain a ship to explore the Eastern Seaboard.
A couple of retail editions will be rolled out and each one of them will be slightly different from the others in terms of availability, single player missions, multi-player packages, encyclopedia and soundtracks from previous editions. These include Standard, Special Edition, Join or Die Edition, Freedom Edition, UbiWorkshop Edition, Limited Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition.
While Limited Edition is exclusively developed for consoles, Digital Deluxe Edition is for PCs only and rest of them will be released for both consoles and PCs. The previous editions of the game have tasted stupendous success and millions of copies of the same were sold worldwide.
