Google Nexus 7 Indian launch in November

Google Nexus 7 manufactured by ASUS is designed to take on competitors Apple Inc, Microsoft and Amazon.

Some good news for Indians eagerly waiting to lay their hands on the Google Nexus 7! The tablet is expected to arrive in the country very soon.

At a press event hosted by Ausu India in Bengaluru, it confirmed that the Google Nexus 7 tablet is to be shipped to India by November this year.

There had been speculation for a while that the device was to be introduced in the Indian market by September but the unveiling was allegedly postponed.

This is the first official verification of the Nexus 7 Indian launch.

There were no details on the cost of the 7-inch tablet at the event, but as per the manufacturer, the price tag may be revealed by the end of next month.

Given that India is not such great market for launching a Wi-Fi only model, chances are Asus might release of a 3G-enabled version in India. However, there is no confirmation on the 3G connectivity yet.

Release of a 3G-enabled version in India?
The popular tablet was launched to glowing reviews and turned out to a hot seller at some American retailers. The lack of 3G support was one of the only criticisms leveled by reviewers.

Buzz has it the hardware manufacturer is currently working on a 3G variant to be released imminently.

Google’s Nexus 7 tablet
The 7-inch Nexus tablet launched at the recent I/O Google conference is the first to run the latest version of Android, codename Jelly Bean.

This tablet manufactured by ASUS is designed to take on competitors Apple Inc, Microsoft and Amazon.

The device has a 1280 x 800-pixel high-definition display, is powered by speedy Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor under the hood and a 12-core GPU.

It tablet is equipped with front-facing camera for video chat, nine hours of video playback and 300 hours of battery backup. In addition it has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC connectivity.

The Google Nexus 7 is available in two storage capacities, 8 GB and 16 GB, priced at $199 and $249 respectively
