Ghost Coupe: The fastest Rolls-Royce ever!

Dubbed as the Ghost Coupe in the automotive circle, the latest model is likely to get a swanky name of its own derived from the company’s rich heritage.

Rolls Royce is readying a Coupe version of the Ghost that will be the fastest car in their lineup ever!

The Ghost Coupe, a sportier two-door model is the first high performance vehicle from the Rolls Royce in nearly 50 years.

It will be officially unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show in March.

Engine upgraded
Though it will get the same tuned version of the Ghost’s 6.6 liter twin-turbo V12, the power in the new model is increased from the standard 563 PS (414KW/ 555HP) to 608 PS (447KW/ 600HP) with a proportional increase in torque and acceleration.

An eight speed ZF transmission will be used in the upgraded engine that will transmit power to the rear wheels.

This amazing output will make the fastest Rolls Royce yet, capable of hitting a top speed of 155 mph.

The fastest luxury sedan integrated with a 6.6-liter, 600-horsepower V12 and a tauter ride will go into production next summer at Goodwood and is expected to hit customers driveways by late autumn 2013.

Other features
As per reports, the Ghost coupe has shed around 200 kilos and its roofline has dropped by up to nearly three inches. It is also expected to be shorter and lighter than its four door sedan sibling, thereby promising a "considerably brisker" acceleration.

Apart from engine upgrades, the Coupe will be fitted with larger tyres, "mildly sports-orientated" brakes and tauter suspension to handle all the extra power. The chassis will be lowered by about 10mm for a lower center of gravity, resulting in improved agility.

Despite the changes, engineers are reportedly trying to maintain an air of elegance befitting the renowned luxury brand.
