Miley Cyrus rejoins Twitter!

The 18-year-old former Hannah Montana star quit the social networking site in 2009, apparently at the encouragement of her then boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth.

After her year-and-a-half absence from the Twitterverse, Disney’s darling Miley Cyrus is all set to keeping her fans entertained with upbeat messages.

The singer/actress is now writing under the account @gypsyhearttour, in the name of her upcoming 'Gypsy Heart Tour.'

“Yo guys! Its MC! Thank you so much for my KCA! PS I am taking over the Gypsy Heart twitter! Gotta keep ya posted on tour come see me!” she Tweeted.

Sheen lured Miley to join Twitter
Miley, onetime one of the most popular celebs on the microblogging site, is now back, thanks to Twitter's biggest star of 2011 - Charlie Sheen.

"Do not fear...the Sheenius is here!" I’m not gonna lie,” she said in one of her inaugural tweets. “I came back to twitter for 2 reasons. My fans and to follow @charliesheen #winning.”

The singer, who has launched the @Gypsyhearttour account Sunday night and has already gathered over 100,000 followers, hopes she will regain the 1.1 million followers she once had.

"Let's get me back to as many followers as before!" she pleaded. "So excited for tour I can barely stand it!"

Last year in October, Miey deleted her popular Twitter account, leaving her more than 1.1 million followers puzzled over her abrupt exit.

Also Sheen, who has over two million followers, has been urging his fans to help Miley out.

Welcoming the singer back, the comedian wrote: "Dear Miley, Welcome back to Twitter! Always felt you were epic... Now you proved it! Thanks for the love! ybh c."

In response, she wrote, "I always felt the same about you! You have taught me everything I know about WINNING. Duh!"

Last year in October, Miey deleted her popular Twitter account, leaving her more than 1.1 million followers puzzled over her abrupt exit.

She allegedly deleted her Twitter page at the behest of her then reported boyfriend and 'The Last Song' costar Hemsworth.

"FYI, Liam doesn't have a Twitter and he wants me to delete mine with good reason," She wrote in her farewell tweet at the time.

In response to Miley’s abrupt disappearance from the micro-blogging site, her ditched fans had come together on Twitter under the heading "#mileycomeback,” making a plea for her to come back.
