David Schwimmer, wife expecting first baby

David and Zoe met in London in 2007, when he was in town directing the romantic comedy "Run, Fat Boy, Run" with Simon Pegg.

David Schwimmer and his new British wife, Zoe Buckman, are expecting their first child together, several media outlets confirmed Wednesday, citing the actor's rep and an announcement made by the couple.

The 44-year-old former ‘F.R.I.E.N.D.S.’ star, who secretly wed 25-year-old British photographer Zoe in June of this year, is going to be a dad, a rep told UsMagazine.com.

The recently married actor is set to become first-time father and IS extremely thrilled with the pregnancy news.

The pair "couldn't be more thrilled," the rep tells Us.

Pair holidaying
Citing a Schwimmer pal, UsMagazine is reporting that Zoe is already "four to five months" along in her pregnancy, which means the baby should arrive around May or June next year.

In 2006, David had expressed his keen desire to start a family in an interview with People, saying that he was eager to be a dad but was willing to wait as long as he feels the time was right.

"They're in London for the holidays," the insider added.

David’s long-simmering desire to become dad
In 2006, David expressed his keen desire to start a family in an interview with People, saying that he was eager to be a dad but was willing to wait as long as he feels the time was right.

"I think it's gonna have to wait until I settle down and have a family," he had told the magazine at the time. "It will happen when it feels right. Maybe part of me is waiting for myself to slow down a little and be ready to stay put. I'm confident it's gonna happen."

How the lovebirds became married couple
David, known for his character as Ross Geller in the hit series ‘F.R.I.E.N.D.S.,’ and Zoe, a professional photographer, had been dating since 2007.

They first met in London in 2007, when he was in town directing the romantic comedy "Run, Fat Boy, Run" with Simon Pegg.

At the time, Zoe was a cocktail waitress at the Cuckoo Club in London's West End where she served the actor/director. After the meeting, Zoe reportedly left her home in north London and moved to Los Angeles to be with him.

While living in NY, she attended the International Center of Photography to pursue her dream of becoming professional photographer.

The couple announced their engagement in March of 2010, and got married in June in a private ceremony.

Love life before marriage
Before meeting his current wife Zoe Buckman, David dated Australian singer Natalie Imbruglia, French actress Emmanuelle Perret and model Gina Lee.

The notoriously private actor was reportedly once engaged to Israeli actress Mili Avital.
