The recent rumors of Grammy-winning singer Christina Aguilera dating Matthew Rutler, her assistant, were debunked by Matthew’s mother, Kathleen Rutler in a public interview.
"Christina isn't interested in a new man right now and Matthew certainly isn't ready for a relationship or kids," Kathleen said.
Christina who has recently separated with her husband Jordan Bratman had made headlines this Monday after rumors that she was romantically involved with her assistant on the sets of 'Burlesque.'

Christina looking for a friend
Kathleen revealed that Christina and Matthew were nothing more than just good friends.
"I can tell you that they are absolutely not dating," Kathleen Rutler told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview on Monday. "They are friends but nothing more than that.
She further explained that Matthew was a loyal person who hates to see his friends sad and thus was trying to make Christina happy.
"Right now Christina needs a shoulder to cry on and an ear to listen to her problems, and that is exactly what Matthew is doing," she continued.
"That is what she wants right now, a friend. Matthew has told me she really finds it hard to find anyone genuine to listen to her. Despite what it may seem like, she is finding this split very tough," she shared.
Christina dined with Matthew
Both Christina and Matthew were photographed at the Soho House in West Hollywood on Friday night.
They were accompanied by Nicole Richie and her fiance Joel Madden.
The photographs clearly show Matthew hiding his face from the camera, while Kathleen on the other hand claims that her son was just a bit afraid.
However, sources claim that Christina is certainly dating the man and spending loads of her time with him on shoot and beyond that as well.
"It's not serious yet, but it's something she is exploring and finding comfort in," a source told the mag. "It's new and she's taking it day by day. She met [Matthew] on set and, during a difficult time, leaned on as a friend. After she and Jordan separated, the friendship turned romantic."
