Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz welcome first child together

Late in May, the couple went public Keys’ pregnancy news. They also revealed their engagement around the same time.
Alicia Keys gave birth to a baby boy on Thursday in New York. The singer welcomed her little bundle of joy with producer husband Swizz Beatz. The couple named their son Egypt Daoud Dean.
“Swizz 'Kaseem Dean' Beatz, 32 and Alicia Keys, 29 welcomed their first child together, a son Egypt Daoud Dean on October 14th in New York City,” a rep for the couple confirmed to MTV News. “Egypt is welcomed by Beatz's three other children.”
Elated about the baby birth
Swizz also took to Twitter on Thursday and expressed his joy, writing, “I'm so thankful for everything I been blessed with in my life wowwwwww! #realtalk”
Mary J. Blige tweeted about the birth first. “I'm So excited 2 Congratulate my brother @ therealswizzz and @Alicia keys on there (sic) New, baby, boy!!!!!!!” she wrote on her twitter account.

Born Alicia Augello Cook, the singer is best known by her stage name Alicia Keys.
Starting off her music career at a very young age, Keys went on to claim global acclamation in the world of music. She has won 12 Grammy awards and sold over 30 million albums worldwide.
Keys met Swizz Beatz while working on Whitney Houston's album ‘I Look To You.’
Beatz is already father to three children from previous relationships, two sons, Prince Nasir Dean, 10, Kasseem Dean Jr, 4, and a one-year-old daughter. Egypt is the first child for Alicia Keys.

“Me and AK, we just love music,” Swizz had told MTV news, a few weeks after the couple announced their engagement. “When we in the studio, we work on a lot of things that ain't planned. We was just in the studio vibing on some stuff for her album, vibing on some stuff for my album. We might use it, we might not use it. Anytime we in the studio, it's just musical genius, minds connecting on another level, which is always cool.”
Beatz, 32, and Keys, 29, got married on July 31 at a private home overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The wedding ceremony was presided over by Deepak Chopra and guests like Bono and actress and rapper Queen Latifah were also present.
