New tell-all: Lady Gaga starves herself to dangerous levels

The outrageous style icon's former tour manager, David Ciemny, alleges in the book that the singer is “sick” and “obsessed" with weight.

Lady Gaga diets so dangerously that she was hospitalized six times last year because of her extreme dieting, reveals a new tell-all biography about the singer.

The 'Telephone' singer’s new biography, 'Poker Face: The Rise and Rise of Lady Gaga,' reveals startling secrets about her dramatic yo-yo eating and surprising insecurities and includes the claim by her ex-tour manager David Ciemny.

Gaga’s crazy about dieting
Penned by Maureen Callahan, the tell-all reveals that Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germonatta, got dangerously ill due to her yo-yo dieting, forcing her to cancel her concerts multiple times in 2009.

The outrageous style icon's former tour manager, David Ciemny, alleges in the book that the singer is “sick” and “obsessed" with weight.

Ciemny also claims that the 'Bad Romance' singer would binge on junk food at times, while at others would severely restrict her calorie intake to look good onstage and fit into her eye-catching stage costumes.

Besides her dangerous dieting, the tell-all book also reveals the bizarre behavior of the 'Bad Romance' singer.

He alleges that the 24-year-old musical darling once lost 20 pounds between a first and final fitting.

"When I say she was sick, I mean physically and mentally," David says of Gaga’s condition in the book, according to Daily Mail.

According to talent scout Wendy Starland, who helped discover the unknown New York City musician Stefani Germanotta before she became Lady Gaga, admitted in the book that “The pressure on her to lose weight was very high.”

Gaga behaves bizarrely
Besides her dangerous dieting the tell-all book also reveals the bizarre behaviour of the 'Bad Romance' singer.

David’s wife Angela described the gutsy girl’s bizarre behavior in the book, revealing that Gaga would cuddle up next to her in bed before her performances and beg for her to come back once she left, reports Daily.

“I would say, ‘Gaga, I have a husband to go home to. I’ll be in the room next door,’” Angela said in the book.

“She'd call and text me, 'I miss you Ange, can you come back?'”

Angela claimed she would return to the singer’s room and they soon ended up spending lots of time together.

“We literally would do our make-up together every morning and get ready for bed together at night.”

Gaga's weight issue has reportedly been the subject of concern during the filming of the chart topper’s Paparazzi video clip.

"Producers had to shoot around her. They draped fabric over her thighs and shot her backside with a softer lens,” the Daily Mail quoted a witness from the shoot commenting.

Gaga is as secure as any other girl
Gaga has previously admitted that she feels as insecure as any other young girl, but claims she hides her fears behind her onstage persona.

"When I wake up in the morning, I feel just like any other insecure 24-year-old girl. Then I say, '... you're Lady Gaga, you get up and walk the walk today,'" the singer said.
