The celebrity gossip website TMZ says Uchitel has just purchased the swanky condo, which includes 3 bathrooms, a fireplace and "white-glove service" that comes with a doorman, and security.
Rachel Uchitel, also known in the media as Tiger Woods' numero uno mistress, has finally overcome the hurdles that came in her way for buying a swanky New York condo.
The 35-year-old Uchitel, who received more than $10 million to keep her role in the Tiger Woods affair hush-hush, was trying to purchase $2 Million condominium located at New York City's ritzy Park Avenue.
But, the condo board reportedly her last month didn’t allow to enter the building to buy the apartment completed with three-bedrooms and three-baths.
Uchitel buys swanky condo
Now, it has been reported by TMZ.com that Tiger Woods’ former hottie has managed to make the $2 million condominium on Park Avenue her own.
The celebrity gossip website says Uchitel has just purchased the swanky condo, which includes 3 bathrooms, a fireplace and "white-glove service" that comes with a doorman, and security.
According to the website, she chose specifically this place just because she thinks it would be the perfect place to settle down.
Price not confirmed
Citing anonymous sources close to Uchitel, TMZ reports that the asking price on the condo was $2 million, but the New York socialite managed to purchase it in a "pretty sweet deal."
Uchitel, a Manhattan nightclub hostess, was the first woman linked to the ace golfer in November of 2009. It was her texts on Tiger's phone that led to a fight between the superstar and his wife Elin Nordegren, and eventually called off their marriage.
Uchitel’s past reputation not acceptable to board
Last month, reports were rampant that Uchitel was locked from bidding to buy the $1.995 million condominium by NYC condo board, which has the right to accept, or reject tenants.
In its Aug. 30 print edition National Enquirer wrote that the board officials "consider Rachel a homewrecker and money-grubber and don’t buy the idea that she is a respectable celebrity…. The other homeowners feel she helped break up Tiger’s marriage and profited from it, and she’s not the type of person they want as a neighbor.
“Manhattan is famous for being ultra-selective when it comes to approving who buys apartments, and this luxury building is no different.”
Buying process was easy!
But, TMZ has learned that Uchitel never had an issue with buying or moving into the building and instead it was "pretty easy" for her to buy the apartment.
According to the website, she chose specifically this place just because she thinks it would be the perfect place to settle down.
Who is that mistress?
Rachel Uchitel came into limelight after her fiancé James Andrew O’Grady died in 9/11 terrorist attacks in World Trade Centre. Rachel then married her old friend in 2004, but ended up divorced in just 5 months. It was only then that she moved into the “nightclub business”.
The Manhattan resident Rachel worked as a director of "VIP services" for nightclubs in Southampton, where her work was to decide who got into the club and who didn't. She is now working hard to improve her blemished reputation.
