Girl throws live puppies into river
In the 43-second clip, a blonde heartless girl in a red hooded sweatshirt is seen grabbing six puppies from a white bucket and hurling them into a fast-flowing river.
The video, which is believed to have been filmed in Croatia, begins with the woman throwing a whimpering puppy into the river. She then bends down and takes another puppy from a white bucket before tossing it into the water.
In the video, the girl is seen casually taking the black-and-white puppies out of the bucket and tossing the squealing animals into the fast-moving river one by one.
Worldwide outrage sparked
The disturbing video that immediately went viral on the internet has angered the animal-lovers as well as the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
In the video, the girl is seen casually taking the black-and-white puppies out of the bucket and tossing the squealing animals into the fast-moving river one by one.
While Web users are banding together on sites like Facebook.com and 4chan.org to help identify the woman and the off-camera man who filmed it, PETA is offering a $2,000 reward to help catch the young woman.
PETA offering a bounty for the arrest
"PETA is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this heinous act," the animal rights group said in a statement reportedly provided to NewsCore.
"Animal abusers are cowards," said PETA Manager Martin Mersereau. "They take their issues out on the most defenseless beings available to them."
"According to law-enforcement agencies and leading mental-health professionals, perpetrators of violent acts against animals are often repeat offenders who pose a serious threat to all animals—including humans."
Internet hate campaign begins
Several Facebook pages have been created dedicated to exposing the young girl, AFP reports.
More than 4,300 people have joined a Facebook group titled "Find the girl throwing puppies in the river" since the video was posted Monday.
"Find this girl and send her to prison for animal cruelty," Facebook user Jacqueline Wills wrote on the page, according to AFP.
"Throw her in the river!!!" wrote Dave Sherrid.
Another group on Facebook was created titled "The chick who threw those puppies into the river shud [sic] be arrested."
Almost 500,000 viewers watched the video on the LiveLeaks website, which has now pulled down the clipping.
"Find this dumb little b***h and throw her into a river," one person wrote on the notorious Internet message board 4chan, according to CBS News.
