Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth break up; reportedly due to her raunchy acts

The reason behind the break-up could not be confirmed, but it is said that Liam did not like Miley’s raunchy styles and that he was 'jealous' of her saucy stage antics.

Miley, who has come under fire for her desperate attempts to act all grown-up, asserted her independence through her latest album Can’t Be Tamed. The album introduced a more sexual persona of the Disney star to her fans and was seen as an audacious attempt.

Though most of the songs in the album, Miley said, were dedicated to her boyfriend, he was apparently not happy with all this bold publicity, and her over-sexed manners.

According to reports, Liam was discomfited with Miley’s proximity to other guys, even if it was for an act.

Cyrus’ team is refusing to comment on their relationship status. However, a rep for Liam confirmed they are no longer dating each other.

Reports of their break-up had first surfaced in June, but the couple flatly denied them.

“[Liam has] become my best friend in the whole wide world. I love him,” Miley had told Parade magazine. “He really respects me for who I am because coming from Australia; he really didn't know me as the celebrity I am here. I got to tell him about myself on my own terms and my own way. He had no preconceived notion of who I was supposed to be.”

Miley has previously dated model Justin Gaston and Jonas Brothers star Nick Jonas. She admired Liam openly and even took him to meet her family, which reportedly brought the two closer.

Was she ever serious about Liam?
Despite singing praises for Liam, Miley was often speculated to be non-serious about their relationship.

Back in March, she had told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres that she really wants to focus on her work.

She wasn’t really looking to get into a relationship, “but I met him, and he opened the door for me, and I was like, I have been in L.A. for three years, and I don’t think any guy has actually opened the door for me,” she said.

“It wasn’t that he wanted the job. That’s just who he is. I was like, ‘Wow, that is super-impressive.’ I actually turned to the director and said, ‘He’s got the job.’ He’s hot and he opened the door. Excellent.”
