Funnyman Martin Short's wife Nancy Dolman dies

Although, the cause of her death has not been made public, but some tabloids are reporting that Dolman has died from cancer. The actress has been battling cancer since 2007.

Funnyman Martin Short's longtime wife, Nancy Dolman, has died, according to several published online reports, citing a representative for the grieving actor as confirming the sad news Monday evening. She was 58.

Short's manager Marc Gurvitz confirmed Monday that the actor’s wife of 30 years had died, but he didn't provide a cause of death or any additional information.

It’s being reported that Dolman passed away Saturday at the couple's home in the Pacific Palisades, California.

Citing the Los Angeles Fire Department’s spokesman Brian Humphrey, CNN is reporting that paramedics responded to a call for emergency medical help at the couple's Pacific Palisades home Saturday morning.

"Sadly, we can confirm that Martin Short's wife did pass away," Short's rep Camille Kuznetz confirmed to CNN Monday. "We do not have any other comment to make."

Paramedics were called to couple’s home
Citing the Los Angeles Fire Department’s spokesman Brian Humphrey, CNN is reporting that paramedics responded to a call for emergency medical help at the couple's Pacific Palisades home Saturday morning.

They were on scene for approximately 30 minutes, but according to Humphrey no one was taken from the house to the hospital at that time.

About the couple
Short, a native of Canada, is best known for his comedic roles on 'Saturday Night Live' and in the 'Father of the Bride' franchise.

Dolman, who also was a comedic actress, was most notable for her recurring role as Annie Selig Tate on the ABC cult sitcom 'Soap.'

She also appeared in her husband’s critically acclaimed 1985 cable television special 'Martin Short: Concert for the North Americas.'

She retired from showbiz in 1985 to raise her family.

Short and Dolman wed in 1980 after the pair met while working together in a 1972 production of 'Godspell.'

They have three children, Katherine Elizabeth (born 1983), Oliver Patrick (born 1986), and Henry (born 1989).
