Bristol calls off engagement to Levi Johnston, again

Bristol, however, hasn't lost hope for a true love in her life and a man to be a father for Tripp. "I have faith that I'll find it," she told People.

Amid reports that Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston are together again and will be getting married soon, the daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has broken off her engagement to her baby daddy for the second time.

Mere two weeks after telling the world she is back together with the father of her 19-month-old son Tripp, Bristol dumped him again.

Bristol’s second try at an engagement fails
In an interview with People magazine, the 19-year-old daughter of politician Sarah Palin revealed she will not be getting married the father of her young son, Johnston.

"It's over. I broke up with him," she told People. "There's been no remorse."

Bristol told the magazine that she's seen Johnston only once in the past three weeks.

Levi obsessed with the media spotlight
According to the magazine, Bristol and Johnston’s relationship soured on July 14, the very same day they went public with their rekindled romance.

Mere two weeks after telling the world she is back together with the father of her19-month-old son Tripp, Bristol dumped him again.

According to her, Johnston told her that same evening he might have fathered a baby with another teenage girl, who happened to be his girlfriend previously. The 20-year-old pregnant girl, named Lanesia Garcia, has since denied Johnston’s paternity.

She claims that Johnston appeared in a video mocking her family. Her ex-fiancé’s fame-hungry ways reportedly forced Bristol to call of their second engagement.

"The final straw was him flying to Hollywood for what he told me was to see some hunting show but come to find out it was that music video mocking my family,” she added. “He's just obsessed with the limelight and I got played."

Bristol still hopes for a two-parent home for Tipp
Bristol, however, hasn't lost hope for a true love in her life and a man to be a father for Tripp.

"I have faith that I'll find it," she told People. "Through this whole experience I know I need a man who's going to be completely honest with me and someone who loves me and Tripp and wants to be with him all the time. I also want someone who has religious beliefs and a good family."

Mom stands by Bristol’s decision
Meanwhile, Bristol's mom Sarah has come forward in support of her daughter.

She tells People, "I wish for Bristol to be able to move forward in life with her same forgiving, gracious, optimistic spirit, but from henceforth she'll know to trust but verify. Bristol is strong, she is independent, and she knows what is right for her son."

Engagement and relations shattered
Bristol has a child out of wedlock with the Wasilla resident Johnston, who had campaigned for the Palin family when Sarah Palin stood for the post of vice-president. The two were high school sweethearts, who planned to wed after graduating, but they called it off soon after the birth of their baby.

Bristol gave birth to their son, Tripp, on Dec. 27, 2008, and then the couple called off their first engagement in March, 2009, barely three months after Tripp was born.

The two rekindled their romance last month and revealed to the world that they were planning on tying the knot, despite not having the approval of their parents, ABC News reports.

The pair ecstatically announced their second engagement in July, 2010 via the cover of Us Weekly magazine.

"It felt right," Bristol told the magazine at the time, "even though we don't have the approval of our parents."
