Lohan started serving her 90-daysentence on July 20 for violating probation in a DUI case. The Sheriff's Department has said she could be released as early as Sunday. She will then be headed to an inpatient rehab center.
Lindsay Lohan is just another prisoner in jail, so claims her mother Dina.
If the words of her mother are anything to go by, the reports that LiLo is living under cushy conditions are absolutely false.
No cushy conditions
In fact Dina, who paid a visit to the embattled actress with younger daughter Ali on Thursday, claims that Lindsay does not even have a pillow to sleep on.
"She doesn't have cell phone privileges, that's absurd. She doesn't even have a pillow to sleep on,” Dina told RadarOnline.com.
The actress' lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, said, "I think it would only be fair for her to spend some time with her family and that's what she'd like for me to emphasize to the judge."
The mom rued that she is not even allowed to physically touch and cuddle her daughter.
“I talk to her through glass. There's a phone and we put her on speaker but I can't even hug my daughter. She's treated like a common criminal," averred Dina.
A big relief to Dina has been the fact that the other jail inmates as well as the jail staff has been nice to the ‘Mean Girls’ star.
The 24-year-old actress is serving a 90-day-sentence for violating her probation stemming from a 2007 DUI case.
She went to the slammer July 20. Although there have been numerous statements of her early release, the exact date when she would be out of jail still remains undetermined.
Intends to spend time with family
As a part of the sentence, LiLo has to immediately report to an inpatient rehab facility within the state after she gets out of the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Califonia, where she is presently lodged.
Jane Robison, a spokesperson for the L.A. County District Attorney's office said, "She does not get to pick the facility. It will be chosen by the judge in consultation with our prosecutor, [Lohan's' defense attorney and the probation department."
If Lindsay was to have her way, she would first spend time with her family after being released from jail and then head to the rehab.
The actress' lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, said, "I think it would only be fair for her to spend some time with her family and that's what she'd like for me to emphasize to the judge."
Lohan has expressed her displeasure at the time frame within which she has been ordered to go to rehab; 24 hours after release, instead of the usual 48 hours.

Complaining that she's being treated like a common criminal... she IS a common criminal. Every citizen should get equal treatment. Being indignant that she doesn't have cell phone privileges like it's cruel and unusual punishment... COME ON !! Whatever time she spends in jail, I seriously doubt it will be the full 90 days, and she has the audacity to complain about having to show up at a rehab facility within 24 hours ?? Again showing the lack of insight into how easy she's getting off by thinking she should be entitled to having more time before going to rehab. Just how egocentrical can one person be ??
