Jessica Simpson's new beau: ex-NFL star Eric Johnson

The 'Sweet Kisses' singer is romantically involved once more, and this time again, it is believed to be a football hookup for Simpson.

Jessica Simpson seems to have moved on from her break up with NFL star Tony Romo, and is dating again.

After the American singer called it quits with the Dallas Cowboys quarterback last July, just before her 29th birthday, many wondered when Simpson would bounce back in the scene.

Though it took almost a year, the 'Price of Beauty' star is back in the dating game.

According to multiple tabloid reports, Jess is seeing Eric Johnson, an ex-NFL player.

Johnson, the former footballer, had been drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the seventh round of the 2001 NFL Draft, and is best remembered as a football tight end and a key contributor to the 49ers passing game.

The American pop singer has come under fire numerous times over the years. Further, she has not been very lucky in love matters and has gone through rough patch in relationships, which includes her divorce with Nick Lachey in 2005.

Though it is yet not clear for how long the duo have been together, some reports suggest that Jess has been dating recently divorced Johnson since May.

A source close to the U.S. starlet was quoted by PEOPLE as saying, “It's true. She is happy that she found a great guy. She's really happy."

Simpson, who will turn 30 on July 10, is hoping for good times ahead. Though she claims to have “experienced a lot” in her twenties, Jess is confident that the new year will ring in good times for her.

“It's happening and I feel it. I think [30] is going to be a good year for me.” Simpson told PEOPLE in May. “I feel old in a lot of ways, but I feel naive in ways that I can't wait to see what happens next."

Recently, Simpson tweeted, “sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together" ~Marilyn Monroe ...WOW:)”

Hopefully, this time she has found the love of her life, who, unlike Simpson's one time beau John Mayer, will not blurt out about their sexual relationship to the world. All the best Jess.
