Carrie Prejean gets hitched! The former American beauty queen and her NFL man Kyle Boller have tied the knot on Friday, according to multiple entertainment and gossip websites.

Prejean, who became a controversial figure in the world of beauty pageants after making comments opposing same-sex marriage at the 2010 Miss USA pageant, has been engaged to Oakland Raiders quarterback Kyle Boller since February.

Wedding bells for beauty queen
The 23-year-old controversial beauty queen wed Boller, 28, Friday at the Grand Del Mar Resort in San Diego, Calif., her hometown, reports UsMagazine.com.

The couple swapped vows in what E! Online describes as a "lavish ceremony" held at Capella Church, located inside the resort.

According to the magazine, an eyewitness talked about the 25-minute ceremony to E! News, saying: "It was beautiful. They had cocktails on the lawn right after. Everyone seemed really happy."

Dating and engagement
Prejean, who gained sudden notoriety over her controversial same-sex marriage answer during the 2009 Miss USA Pageant and subsequent sex-tape revelations, got engaged to the NFL stud on Super Bowl weekend in February this year after a whirlwind romance.

Prejean has been linked to Boller, who plays for Oakland Raiders, since last summer. The pair reportedly met and started dating in the midst of her post-Miss America debacle. The two began dating in July (09).

After just 7 months of dating, the couple decided to make their whirlwind romance official in February in Prejean's hometown, where the UC Berkeley alum Boller popped the question to which the blonde beauty queen said “Yes.”

Dethronement of Prejean
Prejean had stirred up a national controversy while answering Perez Hilton’s question about same-sex marriage unfavorably during the Miss USA pageant in April.

When Hilton asked her if she supported gay marriage, she replied: "In my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody there, but that's how I was raised and that's how I think it should be, between a man and a woman."

After her controversial remarks about the gay marriage, she lost the Miss USA crown to Miss North Carolina, Kristen Dalton.
