"Jackass" star Bam Margera has been hospitalized after being attacked by a woman early Saturday. The woman hit him with a bat at about 2 a.m. Saturday next door to The Note, a bar Margera co-owns, according to numerous media reports.

The serious blows to the back of the head led Margera to the hospital and the female attacker to jail.

The 31-year-old former professional skateboarder-turned-MTV sensation, Margera, was rushed to the Chester County Hospital after being assaulted early Saturday morning following a noise complaint at bar he owns in his hometown of West Chester, Pennsylvania, TMZ reported.

The 59-year-old woman, Elizabeth Ray, who lives on the same block as the bar, hit him in the head with a baseball bat because she had been angry over the noise from the club.

The 31-year-old former professional skateboarder-turned-MTV sensation, Margera, was rushed to the Chester County Hospital after being assaulted early Saturday morning following a noise complaint at bar he owns in his hometown of West Chester, Pennsylvania.

According to TMZ, there was some sort of fight in the club that ended when the woman allegedly hit Bam in the back of the head with a baseball bat.

"Ray struck the victim . . . in the head with what appeared to be a bat," according to the police report.

Attacker arrested
Ray was arrested on aggravated-assault and related charges.

She is now facing two counts of simple assault, two counts of recklessly endangering another person, and one felony count of aggravated assault, reports MTV.

Shortly after the arrest Ray posted $10,000 bail.

Ray professes her innocence
Meanwhile, Ray has told the Philadelphia Daily News that she is innocent.

"I'M INNOCENT, and he's a 'Jackass' just like his movies," Ray said.

"He uses racial slurs, uses the n-word with black in front of it," Ray, who is black, said of Margera, who is white.

"He called me the n-word," Ray said, when asked if she had had any altercation with the MTV sensation on Saturday.

Ray even denied striking Margera with a bat or anything else. "I did not hit him, nobody hit him," Ray said of Margera.

However, Margera's mother April has suggested that this wasn't the first time her son had an altercation with Ray, reports MTV.

"She hit him over the head with a baseball bat, and she hit him while he was walking to his car," she said, though she was not present when the incident took place. "There was no fight. She's just crazy and gives him a hard time all the time."

A bit more on the MTV star
Bam Margera is a professional skateboarder who is made famous by MTV shows "Jackass" and "Viva La Bam."

In the Jackass series and films, Margera and co-star Johnny Knoxville and other goofy young men perform outrageous, dangerous and just plain dumb stunts for the camera, which typically carry a risk of injury.

Margera is producing a new flick, Jackass 3 in 3-D. In an April video interview with ArtisanNewsService, the pro skateboarder said that he had suffered "three broken ribs, a broken shoulder, and a twisted ankle."
