The internet world is abuzz with multiple tabloid reports and blogs that famed Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise has died in a plumbing accident. But, it turns out now that the story is nothing but a yet another horrible internet hoax.

The 'Tom Cruise died' story is a repeated internet hoax since it last happened back in November, when rumors swept the internet that the Hollywood heartthrob was in New Zealand and that he had died there.

The death story is just a hoax
Late last week, the internet was again abuzz with reports of the actor dying in an accident in New Zealand.

Without doubt the 46-year-old actor is pretty much alive, in good health, and busy in finishing up his upcoming project with Cameron Diaz.

While some reports claimed that Cruise has passed away after falling from the cliffs at the luxury lodge and golf course in Northland while in New Zealand, others said the 46-year-old actor has committed suicide in New Zealand.

Tom laughed off death rumors
The 'Top Gun' actor is taking the hoax in good humor, admitting he was amused by the odd manner in which he was 'killed,' reported Contactmusic.

To assure fans that he was "not dead," Cruise showed up for an interview with MTV News, where he laughingly dismissed reports about his death.

When asked about the recent 'Tom Cruise died' hoax and rumors being circulated, he confirmed to MTV: “I’m really alive. Did the internet get it wrong again? You can send the message out (I am still alive).”
