Before taking to the ballroom floor one last time to dance with her pro partner Damian Whitewood, Anderson offered her gratitude to him.
Another pair sent packing on 'Dancing With the Stars.' Pamela Anderson, perhaps the most popular actress to perform on DWTS, was ousted from the hit ABC show Tuesday.
The Baywatch bombshell Anderson goes home sixth in the DWTS contest. Although the 42-year-old sex symbol succeeded in impressing judges with her waltz on Monday's episode, apparently viewers' votes failed to keep her afloat.
Another ouster
Cycle 10 of ABC's ‘Dancing’ competition continued on Tuesday (May 4) with the ouster of one more celebrity dancer. And this time Anderson and her professional partner Damian Whitewood were sent home packing, leaving five celebrities on the ballroom floor to dance another week.
With Pam’s exit ended the Australian professional dancer Whitewood’s first ever “Dancing” season. He said working with Anderson was something of a dream come true.
The couple got eliminated after the judges' Monday night’s scoring and viewers’ votes were tallied.
Bottom three
The elimination was determined by Monday’s performances. The scores were as follows:
Nicole Scherzinger -- 27
Erin Andrews – 27
Chad Ochocinco – 25
Pamela Anderson – 24
Evan Lysacek – 30
Niecy Nash – 25
Nicole, Evan and Niecy were pronounced safe, while Erin, Chad and Anderson were sent to bottom three. Eventually, the bottom two came down to the blonde ladies-Erin and Anderson.
And finally, it was Baywatch babe Anderson who got voted off the show, leaving ESPN reporter Erin to dance another day.
“This has been one of the best experiences of my life and that says a lot,” Anderson said after she heard the elimination news.
"I wish everybody well, all the dancers," said the sad-looking blonde beauty. "It was a great experience. It's hard to describe."
Before taking to the ballroom floor one last time to dance with her pro partner Damian Whitewood, Anderson offered her gratitude to him.
“Damian’s amazing. I just want to thank him. I never knew that I could dance or I don’t really know if I can dance yet, but he just helped me so much,” she said. “I just want to thank you very much for doing this and I’m sure he’s going to be around a really long time with you guys.”
With Pam’s exit ended the Australian professional dancer Whitewood’s first ever “Dancing” season. He said working with Anderson was something of a dream come true.
"You've been an amazing person to work with and so dedicated to learning how to dance," Whitewood said, thanking her, according to the Associated Press.
The top 5 dancers coming back to the dance floor
Pam and Whitewood’s ouster means that five couples are still left in competition for the ‘Dancing’ title.
The remaining five celebrities and their pro partners will return to the ballroom next Monday on ABC for the next round of competition to win the coveted mirrorball trophy.
Other competitors include Olympic figure skater Evan Lysacek, actor Niecy Nash, singer Nicole Scherzinger, sportscaster Erin Andrews and football star Chad Ochocinco.
The reality-TV octomom Kate Gosselin, TV's latest ‘Bachelor’ star Jake Pavelka, soap opera star Aiden Turner, astronaut Buzz Aldrin, and actress Shannen Doherty were eliminated on previous episodes.
Tuesday’s elimination episode featured performances by singer Train and a dance performance by the stars of Cirque du Soleil's "Viva Elvis" show.
