Tiger Woods sorry for swearing, thanks fans

“It also felt great to be in the hunt again,” Tiger Woods said, “but unfortunately, I didn't have my game.”

Rumors of Tiger Woods’ divorce from Elin Nordegren have been running rampant for a few weeks, but the golfer looks undaunted. Trying to retrieve from what was possibly the biggest turmoil in his life, Woods got back to his game at the Masters and is grateful for all the support that he unexpectedly received.

Though the golf-pro had to be contented with a fourth place tie at the event, he insists that his “competitive spirit” is alive. Woods also expressed apologies for all the profanities that he let slip through his tongue.

Sorry for swearing
“I received some criticism for bad language, which I apologized for immediately after Saturday’s round,” he said. “It’s tough when you’re in a competitive environment and in the flow of a tournament. I’m not perfect. All I can say is I’m trying to do everything I can without losing my fire and competitive spirit.”

Getting support from where it was not expected can definitely make things a little better and Tiger Woods was glad to have found comfort in his fans.

“They helped me mentally to be more comfortable out there. I was hoping for the best,” he said. “To get that type of warmth is something I did not expect and will never forget.”

Woods’ grateful for fans support
Appreciating the reception he received from his fans, Woods said, “I honestly didn't know what to expect from the fans, but they were absolutely incredible from Monday through Sunday. It was unreal.”

“It also felt great to be in the hunt again,” Woods added, “but unfortunately, I didn't have my game.”

Tiger Woods with family?
Though speculation regarding his divorce from wife Elin is rife, Woods made a feeble mention of his personal life, indicating the situation is not as bad at home.

“I took a little time off after the Masters to go scuba diving and spend time with my family,” he said.

But what did Tiger Woods mean by spending time with his family? His wife Elin and their two children have taken off to Sweden and will reportedly be spending the summer at her 3 million estate in Vaxholm.

While he is playing it all cool, various sources have reported that Elin is already consulting lawyers and is determined on splitting from her disloyal husband.
