After earning mediocre marks for their rumba on Monday, Aiden and his pro dancing partner landed in bottom three, where they were joined by Kate Gosselin, who had her best performance so far on DWTS on Monday, and Niecy Nash along with their dancing partners.
"Dancing with the Stars" bid goodbye to one more couple this week. Aiden Turner and Edyta Sliwinska became the latest couple eliminated from the tenth season of the show in Los Angeles Tuesday night.
Cycle 10 of ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" continued on Tuesday (April 13) with the ouster of one more celebrity dancer. And this time soap opera star Aiden Turner was sent packing on Tuesday's results show, making him the third celebrity to be axed from the popular dancing competition.
Another week, another elimination
Former "All My Children" star Turner followed in the footsteps of previously eliminated celebrity contestants--actress Shannen Doherty and astronaut Buzz Aldrin.
He earned 33 points altogether from judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli who rated contestants separately for technique and performance during Monday's episode, with 30 points possible for each.
First, the audience voted off Shannen Doherty, the former star of ‘Beverly Hills 90210,’ and her pro dancing partner Mark Ballas, even though Aldrin and ‘Baywatch’ bombshell Pam Anderson had earned low scores from the judges.
Last week, Aldrin, the second man to walk on the moon, left the ballroom.
Kate survives again
After earning mediocre marks for their rumba on Monday, Aiden and his pro dancing partner landed in bottom three, where they were joined by Kate Gosselin, who had her best performance so far on DWTS on Monday, and Niecy Nash along with their dancing partners.
Of the three, Kate and her dance partner Tony Dovolani was the first couple that was deemed safe. The pair, who earned support from the crowd and praise from the judges for her tango, will be back next week for "movie night."
The remaining 8 celebrities and their pro partners will return to the ballroom next Monday on ABC for the next round of competition to win the coveted mirrorball trophy.
"A favorite might be going home tonight," said host Tom Bergeron, leaving audience guessing.
Aiden gets the boot
Eventually, the soap star Turner was shown the DWTS door.
"Each week I came out here and gave it my all. ...I've had a great time," Turner said with teary eyes and smile.
"The experience of being on 'Dancing with the Stars' has been amazing. ...Now I feel like I can move like I never moved before," he continued.
He also appreciated his dancing partner Edyta, calling her "very talented," and added, "I just appreciate all the dance moves she's given to me."
Next week, the remaining contestants will be returning to dance on Monday's movie-themed episode.
