Tiki Barber dumps pregnant wife for younger girlfriend

Infidelity of the NBC Sports anchor and Today Show correspondent was unveiled to the world on April 6, his 35th birthday.

Barber came across the blond beauty Traci Johnson in 2007, when she was an intern at NBC. Though she was much younger and was already dating another guy, Barber was really keen on getting close to her.

“On her 21st birthday, he sent her 21 dozen roses to her dorm. He also gave her a diamond and sapphire bracelet,” a source told the New York Post.

The two were subsequently snapped together at different locations but managed to keep the flourishing romance under wraps.

The revelation of Tiki’s secret affair has come at a time when his wife Ginny is eight months pregnant with their twins. Together, they already have two sons: A.J., 7, and Chason, 6.

So the footballer-turned-TV show host got his wife pregnant when he was simultaneously seeing another woman. And now he claims to have separated with his wife, who is carrying their twins in her womb, on friendly terms.

“After 11 years of marriage, Ginny and I have decided to separate,” said the ex-New York Giant. “This decision was a painful one, but we are moving forward amicably and will continue to work together to raise our children with the love and dedication they have always known.”

While Traci Johnson was finding love in a man 12 years elder to her, she convinced her family she was only baby-sitting for the Barbers.

Though her father refused to discuss about Traci’s relationship with Barber, other sources confirmed that she had been lying to her family. “That's what [her dad] Ernest told me,” said Bob Drabik, a neighbor of Johnson family.

Johnson’s aunt, who stays in Orange County, also said their family was led to believe that Traci’s association with Barber was because of his two children, whom she took care of.

However, the baby-sitting excuse has been rubbished by sources close to the Barber family, who called it “100 percent categorically untrue.”

What is peculiarly interesting in this case is that Barber had repeatedly claimed to be a family man, who was completely committed to his wife and children. He said the dedication to his family had, in part, resulted from a bitter experience of his childhood as his own father left their family when Tiki and his twin, Ronde, were just 4-year-old.

Ginny Barber has decided to stay mum during all this tumult.
