Hollywood actress Katherine Heigl suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction Thursday when the strap of her low-cut red dress suddenly broke off as she stepped on stage at ShoWest in Las Vegas to accept an award, according to reports.
A dreaded wardrobe mishap can be the worst thing to happen to a celebrity. It becomes even more embarrassing if someone falls victim to dreaded wardrobe malfunction on stage in front of large and live audience.
The same happened to Grey's Anatomy star Katherine Heigl, right when she was on stage accepting the Female Star of the Year Award in ShoWest 2010, according to Daily Mail.
The embarrassing incident happened as Katherine was handed the prestigious award for the Female Star of the Year which was held in Las Vegas at ShoWest convention, the tabloid reports.
The actress was in the middle of her acceptance speech when one of the straps on her dress broke, leading to an almost exposed breast.
Host Billy Bush handled embarrassing situation
The actress managed to keep a smile, clutched the strap to her chest, and continued with her speech, before the show host Billy Bush came to the rescue.

As shown in pictures in the Daily Mail, Bush chivalrously held the strap of Katherine's stunning red dress in place while she continued her speech.
Daily Mail reports that after receiving her award, the actress went backstage and found a safety pin to fix the offending strap before heading to the photographers' enclosure to show off her new award.
According to UsMagazine.com, Bush later took to his Twitter account to tell fans a bit about the actress’ embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.
"Oh my," he Twittered. "Hosting showest awards in LV. Heigl comes up to get award, dress strap breaks...I hold her top on while she accepts!"
A rep for the actress told the magazine: "She appreciated Billy's 'support.'"
