Kirsty Gallacher denies love affair with Tiger Woods

Several tabloid and entertainment magazine reports surfaced Wednesday that she was involved with the love-rat golf superstar.

But the 34-year-old former Sky Sports presenter is upset over rumors linking her to serial adulterer Tiger Woods.

According to The Sun, Gallacher has issued a public denial to make clear she has never had a fling with the married golfer.

The infuriated Gallacher admitted that she is friends with the golfer since childhood, and that he calls her whenever he visits the UK, but slammed worldwide rumors that she was romantically involved with the world’s number one golfer, the UK’s tabloid reports.

Childhood pals not an item
The mother of two Gallacher has previously described him as 'incredibly handsome, kind and talented.' But she insists that they are just childhood friends not an item.

“It was all speculation and it was incorrect," The Sun quoted Gallacher, the daughter of the Scottish former golf champion Bernard Gallacher, as saying.

“It was very upsetting. I knew I was being talked about and that's why lawyers were involved. But what you do in this job is you get quite strong because you know things will come at you.

“And I’ve always had the support of family and friends. We’ve all had the rubbish thrown at us but you deal with it.”

Edinburgh-born Gallacher is engaged to 32-year-old rugby star Paul Sampson. The two are due to marry in July this year.

Gallacher declined to reveal whether she was currently in touch with Woods, but added: "I'd love to have been a professional sportswoman and I regret I didn't carry on playing tennis."

She joked: "You know, I fancied Andre Agassi something rotten."

A bit on the TV star
Edinburgh-born Gallacher is engaged to 32-year-old rugby star Paul Sampson. The two are due to marry in July this year. The TV personality gave birth to her second child in January.

Being the daughter of a golfing legend, Gallacher grew up touring America with her father, and soon became close friends with Woods, 34.

When the Internet rumors surfaced claiming Gallacher was one of the girls that had slept with the American golfer, she threatened legal action against anyone spreading the rumors.

According to UK’s Daily Mail, she gushed about Woods' 'wonderful' looks and personality ten years ago.

In 2000, she praised golf champ and said: “He's exactly like he comes across in public – a wonderful, kind and talented man. Not to mention incredibly handsome.”
