Elin stopped from riding in Tiger Woods’ ambulance

After the crash however, Elin claimed to have used a golf club to break the rear windows Tiger’s car, so as to help him out of the smashed vehicle.

The ambulance crew that rushed to fetch Tiger Woods from the site of his car crash on Thanksgiving night had refused to let Tiger’s wife Elin ride with them. They assumed the case involved some domestic violence, according to the latest documents released by the Florida Highway Patrol on Friday.

The officials, believing Tiger’s injuries were caused by domestic violence, were concerned about his safety, so they refused to allow Elin Nordegren to ride in the ambulance with her injured husband. However, they could not find any evidence to support their suspicion.

No physical violence between Tiger-Elin
The golfer has clearly denied any physical violence in his marriage. “Elin never hit me that night or any other night,” he said. “There has never been an episode of domestic violence in our marriage, ever.”

Tiger Woods had crashed his car at about 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 27, when he tried to get away from his south Orange County mansion after a bitter argument with his wife.

The early morning accident caused several injuries to the golfer after he hit a hedge, a fire hydrant and eventually crashed into a neighbor’s tree in his black SUV.

Reports suggested that Elin was chasing Tiger at the time of the crash, though he has constantly denied his wife running after him.

After the crash however, Elin claimed to have used a golf club to break the rear window of Tiger’s car, so as to help him out of the smashed vehicle. On learning about her husband’s car crash, Elin reportedly got into a golf cart and went looking for the accident site.

Tiger Woods took painkillers

On being questioned by the officials, Elin said that her husband had not been drinking but he did take his medication, sometime earlier. “The medication was Vicodin,” said the police report.

Elin went back into the house and fetched two small bottles of the pills, which, according to her, Woods had taken a little while ago.

The police tried to get medical records from Woods' hospital, Health Central in Ocoee, but “the director of medical records at first stated their computer system was not working, then she stated that they would not provide that information without a warrant on [Tiger Woods] regarding whether or not medical blood had been drawn,” wrote FHP Cpl. Thomas DeWitt, in the report.

Paying a hefty price
A few days after his critical accident, the Florida Highway Patrol closed their investigation and ticketed Tiger Woods for careless driving; he paid a fine of $164.

Though the fine was not too significant for the golf-pro, he ended up paying too heavily after that accident, as it led to an exposure of his infidelity towards his wife and saw him drifting away from his game while being dropped by multimillion-dollar sponsors. During a public apology to his family and fans, Tiger said he’d be resuming his game “one day”.
