Demi Lovato confirms dating Joe Jonas

Lovato describes her 20-year-old boyfriend as a “complete gentleman,” who takes her out “to the most amazing places.”

Demi Lovato is dating Joe Jonas, the teen-star confirmed during an interview with Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush.

There had been much speculation regarding the Disney stars’ relationship but Lovato put all rumors to rest on Friday, as she admitted dating the Jonas Brother star, calling him “perfect”.

Lovato’s hesitant confession
Lovato, 17, was kind of reticent to pour out the details of her relationship with Joe Jonas on Bush’s radio program, ‘The Billy Bush Show’.

On being asked if she had ever dated any of the Jonas Brothers, the ‘Camp Rock’ star demurely said, “Umm, maybe.”

Bush prodded further, asking her, “Which one? Joe?”

Lovato responded positively but was not ready to give it away yet. So she said, “Yeah. He's actually… he's my best friend.”

Bush insisted on clarification, asking Lovato if she and Jonas had moved from being in a relationship to being best-friends now.

“So you guys went from boyfriend-girlfriend to best friends?” he asked, bringing out the anticipated reply from Lovato. “No kind of the opposite,” said the 17-year-old, finally spilling the beans about her long-suspected relationship.

Rumors of a romance between Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas were first ignited in October 2009, when they were noticed on a double date in Toronto, along with Joe's older brother Kevin and his now-wife Danielle Deleasa.

Bush then shot a direct question to her, “So you're dating him now?” he asked, to which Lovato said, “Umm, yeah he is my best friend and he is incredible.”

Back then, Lovato refused to be romantically involved with Jonas, saying they “don't have feelings for each other in that way”.

However, Lovato and Jonas seem to be surer of their relationship now, as after months of speculation they’ve finally admitted being a couple.
