Five of the older versions of the all time classic, “Alice In Wonderland” scheduled to be released on DVD this Tuesday.

Five of the older versions of the all-time classic “Alice In Wonderland” are scheduled to be released on DVD this Tuesday.

Latest version of the movie “Alice In Wonderland-2010” by Tim Burton is set to bring along the five most-loved versions of the original book.

Though kids below 15 would not be able to cherish the movie as it has been considered inappropriate for them, given the PG designation, they would be delighted enough to watch the DVDs.

The DVDs comprise of the much-cherished Lewis Carrol masterworks “Alice In Wonderland” (1933), “Alice In Wonderland” (1966), “Alice In Wonderland” (1999), “Abby In Wonderland” (2008), and the recent “Alice” (2009).

Alice In Wonderland
“Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland,” a 1865 novel by author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, has successfully mesmerized millions of people since years.

Commencing with the fall of a girl named Alice in a rabbit hole, which leads her to a hallucinating world of bizarre and peculiar animals, the tale moves on to enchanting adventures in a fantasy world.

Many, like Efrem Prujanski, Jan Svankmajer, Dell Comics and Gold Key Comics, were encouraged by the book to film various animated movies and television programs on the subject.

The list of straight forward adaptations of the novel constitutes around 20-30 short movies, whereas numerous others have been inspired by it, though not based on the similar lines.

DVD: an undoubted success
The DVDs are set to be released under the banners Universal, BBC, Vivendi, Warner, and Lionsgale.

Other incentives, like a commentary by Nick Willing, a glimpse of Ravi Shankar’s recordings, and a photo gallery, have been offered as additions.

Besides, an edition of the Walt Disney’s animated version is planned to be released by March, 2010.

Still enthralling children and adults, though it has been over a century since it was conceived, the tale has become immortal.
