Tiger Woods to publically own up

Woods’ agent has stated that he intends to apologize to his wife and fans by making a brief statement at PGA headquarters at 11 a.m. but he will not answer any question from the press.

Tiger Woods is prepared to talk to the world about why he did what he did. While the golfer prepares a safe speech, millions of eager listeners are lining up to hear him speak out for the first time since being involved in a dirty sex scandal three months ago.

All action will be recorded at the TPC Sawgrass golf course in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., as the media is all geared to cover Woods while he tries to save his now-rotten image.

Back to rehab after news conference
Meanwhile, a top PGA official has revealed that soon after making a public statement, Woods will head back to the rehabilitation centre, where he has been seeking therapy for sex-addiction. The golf pro has already completed a month-long stint at a clinic in Wickenburg, Ariz.

"This is the time frame that met with his rehab schedule, coming out for a little bit, being with his family a little bit, it just worked," PGA Tour Commissioner Tom Finchem told ‘Good Morning America.’

"He needs to say how he feels about things, and how he's doing with what he set out to do," he said.

The world has been waiting for Tiger Woods to talk, but the golfer managed to stay out of the public eye. Despite the media’s desperate search for him, Woods’ whereabouts could not be confirmed for quite sometime before he was caught in Orlando, earlier this week.

But of late, there has been much speculation regarding a news conference that the golfer was reportedly planning to hold. A North Carolina radio station had released a copy of Tiger's statement on Thursday afternoon, which further fueled the conjecture. Though it did not disclose the statement’s origin, the radio station said it was a “leaked” copy.

Those waiting to shoot the golfer with question might have to face disappointment as Woods’ agent has stated that he intends to apologize to his wife and fans by making a brief statement at PGA headquarters at 11 a.m. but he will not answer any question from the press.

Will Elin attend?
Woods’ wife Elin Nordegren, who is reportedly living separate from her treacherous husband, is expected to remain absent from the news conference.

According to his team, Tiger will only be speaking to "a small group of friends, colleagues and close associates" who will support him as he publicly expresses regret for his actions and reveals his plans for future.

After an argument with his wife on Thanksgiving night exposed the dirty secrets of Tiger Woods to the world, the golfer retreated into a shell–taking a break from his game and escaping the media.

When he comes out his time, Woods is expected to announce his return to golf in time for the Masters, to be held in April.
