Bristol Palin wants a look at Levi Johnston's financial records

Johnston claims that he didn't get paid for all of his appearances. The teen daddy of Palin's grandson has recently disrobed for a gay-favorite magazine, but he contends that he didn’t even get paid for his award-winning Playgirl spread, which is supposed to earn him an extra $25,000 this year.

Britstol Palin apparently believes her former fiancé, Levi Johnston, is a big, fat liar, and now she vows to prove it legally. The 19-year-old alleges that her ex-fiancé and the father of her child Johnston is lying about his income to avoid paying child support. She’s hoping media outlets and magazines will help prove her point.

Bristol, daughter of half-term Alaska governor and 2008 Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin, has a child out of wedlock with the 19-year-old Wasilla resident Johnston. The two were high school sweethearts, who planned to wed after graduating, but they called it off soon after the birth of their baby.

Bristol gave birth to their son, Tripp, on Dec. 27, 2008, and the couple called off their engagement in March, 2009, barely three months after Tripp was born.

Levi lacks child support
In a court filing last month, Bristol alleged that Johnston failed to provide enough money for the support of their one-year-old son. She has sought $1,750 a month for the care of the baby, Tripp, but Johnston paid merely $4,400 in the whole of last year for his son, she maintained.

In response, Johnston has claimed that prior to 2009 he made no more than $10,000 and that he can't afford a child support payment of $1,688.42 a month in child support Palin is seeking for their son, according to popular gossip Web site TMZ.

Bristol to look at Levi's ledger
But, Bristol isn't buying the claim and has issued subpoenas to some media companies and magazines to determine how much money Johnston has made in past few years.

Her attorney Thomas Van Flein on Thirsday issued subpoenas to Playgirl, CNN, Vanity Fair, Star Magazine, Entertainment Tonight, National Inquirer and The Insider to get exact figures on how much the outlets have paid her ex-fiancé.

"At this point, we do not expect a legal battle with any of the entities we are trying to subpoena since we're not looking for confidential source information," Van Flein told the Associated Press on Thursday. "We're merely looking for payment information."

Bristol wants his money
Citing the legal documents, Popeater reports that Bristol "wants copies of any checks, IRS forms and all in-kind services, such as airfare, hotels, meals, transportation and per diem."

TMZ also reports that contrary to Johnston's claims that his income prior to 2009 was more than $105,000, Palin's lawyer has attached a paycheck stub from 2008 that shows he earned $18,594.50 from one employer that was listed as a construction company in Alaska.

Levi worked for free?
Johnston claims that he didn't get paid for all of his appearances. The teen daddy of Palin's grandson has recently disrobed for a gay-favorite magazine, but he contends that he didn’t even get paid for his award-winning Playgirl spread, which is supposed to earn him an extra $25,000 this year.

Last year in Oct. Johnston showed up in a new ad for Wonderful Pistachios. The ad, in which Johnston, flanked by his real-life bodyguard, stops and cracks open a pistachio, was widely viewed on Paramount Farms’ site, GetCrackin.com.

Paramount Farms, the pistachio grower, is not included in the list of companies and magazines Bristol is subpoenaing.
