Cheryl is said to be planning to divorce her husband Ashley Cole following a string of revelations about his alleged infidelity.

The 26-year-old Girls Aloud singer’s plan to end her marriage to Ashley comes a week after a British tabloid reported that the star footballer cheated on Cheryl with a blonde secretary in late 2008.

The report followed days of speculation that the sportsman sent sex texts and X-rated pictures of himself to topless model Sonia Wild. According to Daily Mail, another woman has come forward with the claims that she spent the night with the Chelsea defender Ashley at a hotel before he played an England match.

Cheryl to call it quits
In the wake of Ashley’s infidelities, Cheryl has decided to end her three-and-a-half year marriage to the footballer within weeks.

A split will be announced 'within weeks' after she returns from her current work-related trip to Los Angeles, according to the Daily Mail.

Cheryl is doing all this after discussions with her mum Joan and close friend Simon Cowell, according to Daily Star.

“He’s pushed her to the limit. She’ll never be able to forgive Ashley for his stupidity,” a friend of the singer is quoted by the paper as saying. “She’s in bits and feels totally humiliated.”

“It’s the hardest decision Cheryl’s ever made because she loves Ashley, but he just keeps letting her down,” the friend continued. “The last few days she’s been keeping herself busy concentrating on her BRITs performance. Now that’s over she’ll deal with him and sort out her future.”

What Cheryl went through
Daily Mail quoted a friend as saying: "Cheryl is holding it together, she is extremely tough - don't forget she comes from a council estate in Newcastle and is a fighter. She loves Ashley, he is the love of her life, but there is only so much she will take.

"Cheryl is exhausted with it all. There was a point when she was going to ride it all out, but she has heard rumours of more women and cannot face it. They will split within weeks."

It is not the first time sex-cheat allegations about Ashley have emerged. In early 2008, the footballer allegedly had romantic relationship with hairdresser Aimee Walton. The England ace allegedly offered money to prevent the blonde hairdresser from disclosing her pregnancy.

At the time the footballer had managed to save his marriage to the pop star, but this time it seems that their marriage is on the rocks.

The recent buzz is that infuriated by her hubby’s infidelities, the ‘Fight For This Love’ singer has urged her friends and family to start using her maiden name when they refer to her.

The Daily Star reports that the singer has indicated that she wants to divorce Ashley by saying “Call me Cheryl Tweedy, not Cole.”
